2 players start diagonal without puck. When they reach the center line they receive a pass which must be returned quickly.
After returning do 2 more strides and then stop hard.
Skate back towards the starting line and receive a second pass to be returned. 2 more strides again and then stop hard.
The key points are:
- proper breaking technique, weight on the outside leg in order to slide and inside knee to be bent
- recover quickly after full stop and skate into the opposite direction
- 2 hard skating strides after returning the pass
