Players start without puck and receive a puck from opposite line then skate with the puck around the center face-off circle to take a shot.
After the shot player proceeds to the front of the net and is ready to screen or deflect the shot of the next player who takes the same route as the first player in line.
The third player in line starts backwards without a puck and receives one from the line he started from then pivots forwards and times to pass to one of the two players that took a shot on the net. After the pass he plays defense against the two original shooters.
The key points are:
- accurate shots on the net
- good screen to take away the goalies sight
- ready for a deflection if possible
- quick transition to go for 2on1
