Description:
This is a beginners drill (U9) that focusses on puck control.
Setup a bucket of pucks in the center face-off circle and build two teams. On the whistle the kids try to collect as many gold nuggets (pucks) as possible and bring them back to their bank (net facing boards).
Play for 1-3 minutes and see which teams has more gold in their bank.
Variation:
- have 2-4 players (policemen) trying to tag the players with the gold nuggets. If tagged you have to go back to the face-off circle
