PGKA - Coach's Corner - Awesome pre-game Warmup

This is a pre-game warmup drill as well as a half rink game situation passing/scoring drill.

A player starts with a puck out of the center face-off circle and drives to the net. After the shot he picks up a puck on either side of the net and waits to break-out. Shortly after the first player left the center face-off circle two new players start a 2 on 0 from the imaginary blue line.

As soon as the 2 on 0 ends a new player starts from the center face-off circle a new 1 on 0. After the shot he picks up a puck on either side of the net and waits to break-out.

The goalie needs to recover quickly and be always ready for the next shot!

Simultaneously the two players from the 2 on 0 swing to the outside in order to receive a break-out pass from the first player that went for the 1 on 0. After the break-out they go for a 2 on 1 against the player that broke-out. Right after the shot the same two offense players swing again to the outside in order to reveive another break-out pass from the second player that went for the 1 on 0.

The player receiving the puck quickly passes to a third offense player in the center face-off circle.

This is the start of the 3 on 2 against the two players that initially went for a 1 on 0.

The keypoints are:

- Goalie needs to recover quickly and be ready for the next shot;

- Quick tape-to-tape passes;

- one-time shots;

- swing to get open for a break-out pass, sticks on the floor.
